The clinic is a collaboration between Bond University School of Law and My Community Legal, a nationally accredited legal centre located in Robina on the Gold Coast. Students will volunteer every two weeks over the course of a semester. We now have a social work service in our centre that is available to clients who also receive legal aid. My Community Legal is a registered charity and relies on the support of local community sponsors and benefactors to allow their activities to continue. They do not receive any funding from the state or the federal government. The Gold Coast Community Legal Centre can advise you on a number of general areas of law My Community Legal (MCL) is an independent initiative of the Gold Coast District Law Association and many collaborators. We offer local practitioners and law students who intend to become lawyers the opportunity to serve the people of Gold Coast and Tweed by providing free legal services to those who need them but cannot afford them. My Community Legal provides free legal advice to Gold Coasters in Need in a variety of areas, including civil litigation, family law, migration, employment law and personal injury. My Community Legal provides free legal advice in a variety of legal matters, including: domestic and domestic violence, consumer disputes, debt matters, labor law, traffic and minor crimes, immigration law, administration of wills and estates, and family law Since its opening in 1984, our team of fully qualified lawyers provided free services throughout the Gold Coast region.

Our priority is to support the most vulnerable and disadvantaged residents in a variety of jurisdictions, including family law, domestic violence, consumer issues, minor civil claims, motor vehicle accidents, neighborhood disputes, and minor criminal matters. Our publico pro bono law firm is accredited by the National Association of Community Legal Centres, an ATO Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and a charity registered by ACNC. We are one of two nationally accredited legal centres on the Gold Coast. We offer lawyers, law students and many other friends the opportunity to serve the City of Gold Coast by providing free legal services to those who need a lawyer but cannot afford one. My Community Legal is an independent, volunteer-run association that receives no funding from the state or federal government, but is supported by many partners, including: Gold Coast District Law Association; Queensland Law Society; Bond University; Griffith University; Southern Cross University; Other partners; and philanthropists. Community Legal Centres (CLCs) respond to the needs of the community rather than a political, governmental, or commercial agenda. At our core, we believe in pro bono publico volunteerism in the legal profession, human rights and natural justice in accordance with the law. CLCs are independent, not-for-profit law firms funded by a number of organizations to provide legal services to a defined geographic community.

We are immersed in the community and work with many other community organizations to provide a holistic solution to the client, such as in emergency shelters, social counseling and financial counseling. My Community Legal is a registered charity, recipient of deductible ATO donations, winner of local, state and national awards. Our partners are at the heart of the operation of this not-for-profit law firm. MCL`s volunteer lawyers provide free legal assistance in the following areas of activity: domestic and domestic violence; consumers and debt; Employment; Rental; minor and traffic offences; Micro; and immigration law. Our head office is centrally located in Southport. We also provide legal services in offices located at the southern and northern ends of the Gold Coast. Legal advice and assistance is available from Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm by appointment and on Tuesday evenings from 5 pm at our night clinic.
